Discussion List / Reflector

The HamAVR Discussion List (also known as a "reflector") is the major method of intercommunication between all interested persons. Message traffic is usually very light on this list (at the present time). Anyone can view the message traffic in the list archive online. It can be found at http://lists.hamavr.info/pipermail/hamavr-hamavr.info/

Only list subscribers can post messages. The email posting address is "hamavr" at "hamavr" dot "info".

How to Join

Subscribe to the HamAVR Discussion List by filling out the following form:

Regarding your email address: we strongly suggest you use the same email address here that you usually send email from. Use of an alias or forwarding address here means you will only be able to send messages to the discussion list (reflector) from that address, which is usually what you don't want! Examples of alias/forwarding addresses include arrl.net or special email addresses you install for list reception. Contact list administrator for cases where you might wish to post messages from multiple addresses, for example both your home and work email addresses.

You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options.

You will be sent email requesting confirmation to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you.
MAKE SURE THE CONFIRMATION REPLY EMAIL ASKING YOU TO CONFIRM
YOUR SUBSCRIPTION REQUEST IS NOT CAUGHT BY ANY SPAM FILTER!!!
Otherwise, you'll not get the email confirmation request and your subscription
will not be approved.

For member security, the list of members is available only to the list administrator.
